成。神經(jīng)管的頭端演變成腦,尾端成為脊髓。神經(jīng)管腔在腦內的部分
發(fā)展演變成為腦室,在脊髓部分演變成為中央管。腦在開始時是3個
腦:前腦泡、中腦和菱腦泡,以后又衍病毒成為端腦、間腦、中腦、小
腦、腦橋和延髓。
脊椎動物的中樞神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)內許多神經(jīng)纖維是有髓鞘的,它們聚集在一
起時,肉眼觀呈白色,稱白質。相反,神經(jīng)細胞體集中的部位,肉眼
觀呈灰色,由大量神經(jīng)細胞體和樹突上大量突觸組成,稱灰質。中樞
神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)內由功能相同的神經(jīng)細胞體集聚組成的,具有明確范圍的灰
質團塊叫做神經(jīng)核。在脊髓中進行的神經(jīng)活動,主要是按節(jié)段進行的
反射性活動;但脊椎動物的許多活動都帶有整體性,這有賴于腦與脊
